WP Theme Checker (operated by Scepter Marketing) takes a minimal-data approach.

What we collect when you scan a site

• The URL you submit — stored in our scan history so the "Recent scans" and per-site pages can populate.
• The scan result — the public information our scanner pulled from the URL (theme, plugins, hosting, response headers).
• A truncated hash of your IP address — salted and hashed, used to prevent abuse and de-duplicate clicks. We do not store raw IP addresses.

What we collect if you submit a rebuild quote request

• Your email address and any optional name + message you provided.
• The URL you scanned.
• This is emailed to Matt at Scepter Marketing and stored in our leads database. We do not share it with third parties.

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies on the public site. The admin dashboard at /admin uses a single auth cookie for sign-in.

Analytics

We do not run third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel) on the public site.
